How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
I would rarely work more than 40 hours a week and have never been forced to work late. I have occasionally done a small amount of work on the weekend due to my modelling work which can require small inputs over the weekend and sometimes needs to be done over weekends to make sure projects are running ontime. That said I always can take time-in-lieu for this time during the week. The company are very flexible with working hours and I am able to do half days here and there if I work longer in the other days that week.

Medium. There is flexibility to catch up on work, or get ahead. It could go further.

Pros: You get to work flexible hours, meaning that you can start and finish when it suits (obviously as long as you work a minimum of 7.5h a day, deliver the work and attend the meetings you're supposed to)

Flexi-work is encouraged and you are expected to do a certain number of hours a week and can modify your daily hours to suit.

The standard work hours are 8am-5pm, the company has the ability to be flexible with working hours provided it does not prevent you attending meetings with clients and colleagues. But you are able to flex hours during the month allowing you to work extra hours in some weeks and less in others. It is a very flexible company, but it comes with the expectation you won't take advantage of it.

Working hours is flexible. This reduce stress when I have personal chores I have to complete during business hours.

The company is really good with flexible working hours. We can work the hours that suit us as long as we do our total hours for the week

I work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. I am able to choose these days each week depending on my work and non-work commitments. I usually work longer days early in the week to make up time for the longer lunches, appointments, and early finishes that I have later in the week. I am not allowed to work less than 3 days in the office on a regular basis but that works fine for me. I am allowed to be rather flexible with my hours, but I am discouraged from working overtime.

Flexible enough to be supportive of its people yet not too flexible to be inefficient, it is perfectly balanced.

Work is flexible, allowing multiple days WFH but still incentivising coming into the office. When sick or injured, they are extremely understanding of being WFH for a length of time. Flexible time if needing to visit doctors / needing to clock off early, as long as work has been done earlier in the week / month to accomodate.

Hours ranges from 37.5-40 hours and overtime here and there m. Arup has a good policy in terms of flexible hours etc.

The standard number of hours in general is quite consistent across a week but how you split up that time can vary depending on when you start/ finish each day during the week and if you have any other commitments during work hours etc. Working from home is also an option but as graduates we are encouraged to come to the office as much as we can for the informal learning that comes with it.

Good flexibility, but sometimes requires working extensive unpaid overtime

I generally work 37.5 hours, up to 50 on rare occasions if I am based on site, with the option to either get paid overtime or take time in-leu. ARUP is very flexible when it comes to hours with a few people working 4 days a week or part time, or some people working full time but spreading their hours out differently, eg. an extra hour 4 days a week and one half day.
